This privacy policy explains how Quesro uses and protects the information you provide when you use the quesro.com website and application. Quesro is an educational technology platform where teachers generate questions using artificial intelligence, prepare exams/assignments and digitally assign them to their students, and student answers are evaluated by artificial intelligence.

Quesro is committed to protecting your privacy. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this application and website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Quesro may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page periodically to ensure you are happy with any changes.

Under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), your personal data is processed, in the capacity of data controller, by the natural person whose identity information is set out below:

Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

First and last name

Contact information including email address and phone number

Professional/educational information such as school/institution name, subject branch, class/section and course information

Context/curriculum-outcome texts entered by the teacher, and the questions, answer keys and solutions generated from this information using artificial intelligence

Answers written by students as part of an assignment/exam, and answer-sheet photos/PDFs uploaded by students or teachers (for AI-based assessment purposes)

Transaction information relating to membership plan, usage/token consumption and payments (your card information is not stored by us; payments are collected by credit/debit card through the secure payment infrastructure of shopier.com for Turkish Lira payments, or of Paddle.com — our reseller of record for international customers — for payments in other currencies; in both cases your card details are processed directly by that provider; these transaction records may be retained for the record-keeping/limitation periods required by applicable legislation)

Technical/log information relating to application usage (for debugging and service quality purposes)

Information relating to students is provided either by the student themselves or by the teacher/institution that adds them to their class. For students under the age of 18, the relevant teacher/institution is expected to have obtained the necessary permissions before adding the student's information to the system.

How We Use the Information We Collect

We require this information to provide and improve our services to you, in particular for the following reasons:

To provide the service of AI-based contextual/bulk question generation, exam/assignment creation and preparation of customized output.

To enable class management, digital assignment to students, and content access between teacher and student.

To evaluate and score student answers (multiple-choice and open-ended) using artificial intelligence and to generate achievement reports.

To manage your membership plan, your usage limits (tokens, question quota, etc.) and your payments; to verify your payment transaction.

We may use information for internal record keeping and to improve our products/services.

We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information we think you may find interesting using the email address you have supplied.

We use screenshots and system information reports to improve the application's error handling.

Processing by Artificial Intelligence

In order to provide question generation, exam design and assessment services, the context/curriculum-outcome texts you enter and student answers/answer-sheet images may be transmitted to artificial intelligence (large language model) service providers for the purpose of providing the service. Sharing with these providers is carried out only for the purpose of performing the requested question generation/assessment operation and to the extent necessary; this data is not used by the providers for marketing purposes outside of Quesro.

Sharing and Disclosure of Information

The personal information we collect as Quesro is processed by our internal teams responsible for providing, developing and managing our services, as well as by the AI service providers mentioned above.

When you purchase a paid plan/token package, the payment is processed independently of Quesro's own servers, through the secure payment page of shopier.com (for Turkish Lira payments) or of Paddle.com (for payments in other currencies, as our reseller of record for international customers); your card details are entered directly on that provider's page, are not transmitted to Quesro, and are not stored by Quesro. This transaction is subject to the relevant provider's own privacy policy and security standards.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third-party organization or person, including for advertising or marketing purposes, unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

A student's name, answers and performance information in a class can only be viewed by the teacher(s) managing that class/exam/assignment.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How We Use Cookies

A cookie is a small file that asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added, and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site; it also allows your session to remain logged in. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you individually.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. Controlling Your Personal Information (Your Rights under KVKK)

Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is being processed; request information about such processing if it is; learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose; know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom the data is transferred; request correction of data that is incomplete or incorrectly processed; request deletion or destruction of your data within the conditions set out in KVKK; request that any correction/deletion be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred; object to a result that is unfavorable to you arising from analysis of the processed data exclusively through automated systems; and claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing. You can exercise these rights by submitting a written request to quesro.com@gmail.com; your requests will be resolved as soon as possible and within the timeframe prescribed by KVKK. If you believe that any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us at quesro.com@gmail.com as soon as possible; we will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect. A student's data, once removed from a class/account, is deleted after being retained for the period prescribed by applicable legislation.
